Tshepo Sekhabi

Enca.com, a local news website for South Africa, is reporting that the attacker was a fan by the name of Tshepo Sekhabi. Tshepo Sekhabi, who claims he quit his job in order to attend the event, ended up with a black eye and a swollen face as a result of a kick to the face from “The Viper” Randy Orton as he was being pulled from the ring.

Sekhabi commented on the attack to the news outlet, saying, “I just don’t like Randy Orton, this was an opportunity for me so I got up there and made a name for myself.”

Sekabi was not “formally” arrested either, as originally reported by WWE, but instead was given a five year ban from the casino resort where the WWE event was being held.

Spoke with Dixie Carter

Was great speaking with Dixie Carter. She had some great things to say about Stone Cold Steve Austin and the new direction of the company. After us speaking it is safe to say that I feel Impact Wrestling will be changing for the better. New people coming and maybe some old ones to.

Dixie Issues Statment

“The relationship that fans have with wrestlers is unique and one of the many great aspects of the wrestling business. And, for this reason, releasing talent is never easy – not for you and not for us. But, bringing in fresh faces and the best wrestling talent in the world is what you expect, and what TNA will always strive to deliver. Recently, we have brought back some talent favorites (Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams and Homicide), and you will continue to see this and new talent that we are excited to introduce you to in the coming months.”

Why they released Sorensen

TNA released Jesse Sorensen because they felt he was being paid well above the salary that anyone else working as a production assistant would have been making. There’s a feeling that releasing Sorensen was a bad move for the look of the company and based off the fan reactions it was. TNA has to look at the complete picture. They are dropping the ball.

Al Snow released?

Rumor was going around that Al snow was released. He has not been released….. Yet. Keep in mind there will be more releases from what I have been told.

RINGDIRT is Back!

It has been a while since I have posted.  After hearing about Impact falling apart I had to make a few calls and start this blog back up. I mean honestly. A lot of releases and shows with less than 500 people? Really? I was told today that there would be a few more releases as well for the better of the company. Wrestlers the ones that make the company being paid late. Really? I am not sure what Dixie is pulling but honestly she is not thinking. Why in hell would you piss off people like RVD? A name that every wrestling fan knows. Impact doesn’t have the pull or cant afford to loose wrestlers that could make them better than what they are. People can just go to WWE. Have they not learned anything from the past? Some of the releases I can understand. Something Dixie needs to remember the fans is what makes her company. Matt Morgan, RVD, Big O and Jesse Sorensen was a mistake. Talents that could really have put TNA over the top. Sad really. More to come on The Fall of Impact Wrestling.
