New Wrestling Promotion on CMT?

Jeff Jarrett has not announced his next project because he’s likely waiting until a few things are finalized. It’s still believed, however, that he will announce a new wrestling promotion and a partnership with Toby Keith. It’s possible they already have a TV deal lined up, rumored to be CMT but that is NOT confirmed …… yet. This is just a rumor.

New promotion?

There is talk of Jeff Jarrett starting a new promotion. He had been talking to Toby Keith for a while on a purchase deal of TNA. Right after those talks stop Jeff left TNA,  and heres the kicker as posted last night Jim Ross had a lunch wiry Toby. Could JR, Toby and Jeff be working on a new promotion?  More details as I get them in.

Jim Ross noted on his Twitter last Tuesday that he had a “great meeting with a major sports concern… Could be big…and fun!” He wrote later in the week that he had dinner with Keith and others in New Orleans while he was in town for the Sugar Bowl. A fan mentioned the meeting with Keith and brought up Jeff Jarrett, to which Ross replied (see pic)

Why Hulk turned down WWE

Money was not the root cause of the issue that prevented Hogan from returning “home” to World Wrestling Entertainment.

A source close to individuals in direct talks with Hulk Hogan tells WWE Examiner that creative differences were just as damaging to the negotiations as WWE’s “low-ball” offer to get Hogan back in the company.

Although The Rock and Brock Lesnar earn in one match what Hogan would have earned over the course of the 12-month contract he was offered by WWE, Hulk Hogan was reportedly more discouraged by the names of current WWE superstars that the company’s creative team had in mind to pit against Hogan for a “farewell run” of matches leading up to April’s historic production of WrestleMania XXX.

WWE Examiner learned that Hogan purportedly wanted to work with CM Punk, but WWE felt that Punk’s star has now risen so high that the Straight Edge Superstar needs to work a main event, not a nostalgia match with Hogan.

We’ve also learned that the WWE hasn’t given up on a “dream match” scenario that could put CM Punk in the ring with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Industry insiders say Austin would likely prove a much bigger draw than Hogan for WrestleMania XXX because the Texas Rattlesnake has been away from the ring for so long.

Unfortunately for the Hulkster, although WWE definitely wanted Hogan at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, the match WWE had in mind was simply not “good enough” for the aging Real American in red and yellow.

The source was not familiar with who the company pitched to wrestle against Hogan, although the rumor mill says it was either Jack Swagger or Fandango.

As of this writing, neither Hulk Hogan nor the WWE have offered official comment on the matter or why talks ultimately fell apart.

Ideas for Imapact Wrestling

I have been a wrestling fan for years, along with my business experience I feel I have ideas that would help TNA.

Giving Bubba the title back was a good idea, when I watch TNA there is really only 3 wrestlers that stick out to me now. Bobby Rhode, Bubba, and AJ styles. AJ mainly because he plays that character really well.

Robbie E needs to have his character changed. It’s old and a waste of TV time.
Aces and 8s are not acting like ruthless bikers like I think they should. It seems like they are more pretending than anything, I know wrestling is fake but it shouldn’t seem like that on the camera and the microphone.
Instead of letting Brooke go TNA should have had Hulk fire her for her on safety, or her leave because she couldn’t be around Bubba anymore. That would leave her with an open door to come back maybe a story of  Bubba was seeing her behind Hulks back kind of thing and Brooke turns on her father. Fans would have loved that,
One thing that is hard to have done in wrestling is come up with something new. Through out the years it all has been done. Expect recently MMA fighters are going to TNA.
What they should do is have King Mo, Tito and Rampage team up and just beat the hell out of the wrestlers, bring that story more blood and pain and the fans wouldn’t now how to react because it has not been done with MMA fighters.
These are just a few ideas I have that would push TNA to the top of the rating chart. Like I said just a few. I know Dixie wont read this or even message me back, but the sad part is it would help her company. I truly think it would.

WWE scared of TNA

WWE has contacted a number of arenas to secure dates and will likely be using some of their non-compete clauses to prevent TNA from running those arenas with the new Impact Wrestling tapings schedule. WWE has booked a number of mid-size arenas including the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia, the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, and the First Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. WWE will be running those buildings in their markets instead of the major arenas they usually run in.

HUGE NEWS for TNA

Dixie Carter said that she would have a “major announcement” on this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling.

The announcement will be that TNA will be taking Impact Wrestling on the road in 2013 according to F4Wonline. It’s unknown whether TNA will be giving up the Impact Zone or if they will still hold occasional Impact tapings there, however when TNA airs a live episode of Impact, they will tape the following week’s show the next night.

York Gone?

@christianyork’s profile has been removed from TNA’s website with Kid Cash’s. If TNA releases York this would be a step back for Impact Wrestling. Let’s hope TNA had done this and and it’s just a mistake on the website.
